Welcome!
“You Must Be The Change You Wish To See In The World.” – Gandhi
Hello, and welcome to my page! My name is Mallory Longley, and I am a graduate student at SUNY Oswego. I have a Bachelor’s degree in History from SUNY Oswego with a focus in American History, and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction for Secondary Social Studies. I will graduate in May of 2008. I was born and raised in upstate New York, and I want to teach there as well. I’m a down-to-earth girl and my favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends. I love to read, listen to music, travel, and be outdoors. I am creating this weblog for Dr. Yang’s Edu 595: Portfolio & Synthesis Seminar course, and would like to use it as way to let potential employers learn more about me and about my teaching philosophy. I have included a page discussing why I chose to be a teacher, a page about what makes a teacher great and why I think I will be a great teacher, and also ten pages that allow me to reflect on and show my understanding of each individual INTASC standard.
